Oranges in Majolica Bowl

"Majolica Bowl with Mandarins" oil on wood panel, 8"x10"

I grew up with this bowl, or dish (?) it was always sitting on the coffee table.  I love the inside with the painted Florentine Medici Family Crest.  I'll have to figure out a still life composition where I can show the colorful inside.

I bought this classic blue and white linen tea towel a few months ago while in Paris.  I've been thinking about using it in a still life ever since.  The small boutique, Les Bugadieres, was lovely.  Many of the items are hand-sewn by the lady who owns it.
